The Evergreen Church of Religious Science is affiliated with Religious Science International, headquartered in Spokane, Washington. Religious Science, part of the growing New Thought movement, was founded in Los Angeles in 1926 by Dr. Ernest Holmes, an internationally recognized authority on religious philosophy. Our teachings are based on the sacred wisdom of both Western and Eastern spiritual traditions. We offer a philosophy of religion and approach to living that emphasizes the limitless potential of the human mind. Dr. Ernest Holmes believed correct thinking was paramount, stating: "Change your thinking, change your life." He described Religious Science as "a correlation of laws of science, opinions of philosophy, and revelations of religions, applied to human needs and the aspirations of humankind."
